From the Hale Observatory… The observatory supports the star parties held by the Science department of South Florida Community College located here in Avon Park, Florida. Click on the link below to find out the next Star Party being held at the college. The Hale observatory contributes to the star parties with the use of it’s 10 inch telescope and go to powered mount and, on occasion, its CCD computer driven imaging systems to document what was seen on the evening of the party. |
